Lehmann is pleased to return to Drawing Room Lisboa, presenting curated project that brings together three artists whose practices place drawing at the core of their conceptual and material inquiries: Diana Policarpo (b. 1986, Lisbon), Mariana Barrote (b. 1986, Fão), and Pouran Jinchi (b. 1959, Mashhad, Iran).
The dialogue conceived for the booth intersects three distinct and complementary approaches to the medium: drawing as a score and ecological mapping (Diana Policarpo), drawing as a generative matrix of mythological and visceral narratives (Mariana Barrote), and drawing as abstract calligraphy that deconstructs language (Pouran Jinchi).
Together, these investigations push the boundaries of mark-making on paper, setting up a rich dialogue between matter, the body, and signs.
