On Saturday, 12th July, from 6:00 PM, Mariana Barrote opens her exhibition “GYU” at the CIRAC Auditorium, in Paços de Brandão (PT).

As part of the CiRARTES 2025 programme, the artist presents an imaginary second skin, where stains, textures and organic forms break free from the notion of a protective armour and instead assert themselves as living matter – permeable, vibrant, and ever-changing.

In this extended skin, the body encounters chaos, dreams, and becoming. Here, the visible and the imagined merge into a sensory language that evokes pareidolia, the medieval, the visceral, and the magical.
